A Ministry of Healing from the Heart
Kalikakrama said: " Consciousness shines in various external and internal forms. There is no existence of objects apart from consciousness. Therefore, the world is simply a form of consciousness. Objects are not known by anybody without consciousness. It is consciousness that has assumed the forms of objects. It is through consciousness that objects are ascertained. Through the application of affirmation and negation, there is division of existents [sic] either as positive or negative. The objectivity of existents through the operation of consciouisness is only a form of consciousness itself. As knowledge and the known i.e. its objects are apprehended together, therefore are they(knowledge and its objects) one and the same." (197)

" Believe in the Existence of a SMELL. - You think you have smelled something. A rather sweet smell. Like a vague perfume that you cannot quite place. A breeze of flowers, a touch of spring, a memory of incense maybe, or the smell of young hair. Don't try to identify it. Keep the trace of it. Enter into the fragrance, however slight, attenuated, or evanescent. Amplify it, nurture it, draw it out, and keep it going, and let the world contained within it unfold. Is the smell really there? Or have you just imagined its existence? It's of no consequence. You can always extend your trust to a passing smell, welcome and develop it, without asking whether it is true or false, good or bad. ... You will come to see how this neglected olfactory universe, sometimes scarcely considered worthy of attention, actually lies midway between the real and the imaginary. Here the two are difficult to distinguish; they change places or even interpenetrate each other. The kingdom of smells is a halfway house between dreams and wakefulness, the palpable and the illusory. " (165)
