The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness by Carl Johan Callleman, Ph.D. "With the recent beginning of the Galactic Underworld, humankind is now gradually acquiring a frame of consciousness that favors the Eastern/right-brain hemisphere. We can expect that this will create a balance between East and West, as well as between the right and left-braing hemispheres. The four-century dominance of the world by the Western/left brain hemisphere brought about by the Thirteenth Heaven of the National Underworld will come to an end. Yet since the emerging Underworld carries a dualist consciousness, there is no reason to be surprised that it has initally caused a dramatic increase in hostilities between East and West. This is also a "semi enlightened" frame of consciousness, meaning that the spiritual aspects of reality will once again be recognized. The imposition of this frame means a change that will affect all aspects of our existence. Women who have somewhat better communication between their brain hemispheres (which is to some extent shared by homosexual men), will in many ways be the first to integrate these new ways of perceiving reality.
With the Universal Underworld, humankind will finally attain a consciousness that is both unitary and enlightened, based on the balance created by the lower Underworlds (if you superimpose the four yin/yang polarities of the Regional through Galactic Underworlds on one another, they balance out.) p. 117 - 118 Rochester VT:Bear and Co.:2004.

Eckhart Tolle A New Earth writes : "The great arises out of small things that are honored and cared for. Everybody's life really consists of small things. Greatness is a mental abstraction and a favorite fantasy of the ego. The paradox is that the foundation for greatness is honoring the small things of the present moment instead of pursuing the idea of greatness. The present moment is always small in the sense that it is always simple, but concealed within it lies the greatest power. Like the atom, it is one of the smallest things yet contains enormous power. Only when you align yourself with the present moment do you have access to that power. Or it may be more true to say that IT then has access to you and through you to this world. Jesus was referring to this power when he said, "It is not I but the Father within me who does the works." and "I can of my own self do nothing." Anxiety, stress, and negativity cut you off from that power. The illusion that you are separate from the power that runs the universe returns. You feel yourself to be alone again, struggling against something or trying to achieve this or that. But why did anxiety, stress or negativity arise? Because you turned away from the present moment. And why did you do that? You thought something else was more important. You forgot your main purpose. One small error, one misperception, creates a world of suffering." (p.266- 267). Takuan wrote eight Chinese characters and gave them to the man:

Not twice this day
Inch time foot gem.
This day will not come again.
Each minute is worth a priceless gem.

Wisdom in 13?
Every 13 days, a trecena, of the Mayan calendar, if you elect to subscribe, you will see a newsletter in your mailbox. The Mayan calendar, the Tzolkin, according to various interpretations, is based upon the beginning of the universe and the solar system's relationship to the Milky Way Galaxy which in turn is spiraling around a "central sun" with which we are soon to align. This 13 day cycle will align you with the Mayan calendar, creating a link to the great event of 2012 when many cycles come to an end, and we take a big leap up the spiral. (see below) How that will manifest is unclear, but the acceleration of consciousness is happening now as the Tzolkin predicts. We are in for interesting times and adopting the 13, my lucky number, is one way I hope to harmonize with this event.

( NOTE: If you put the date 22 December 2012 into the Long Count calculator, it will tell you that this is a miscalculation. Such a date does not exist! Should we be concerned? It is less than six years from now. If you put in 21 December 2012, it shows 13.0.0.0.0.0 The End. This calendar is said to date from the beginning of the known universe!
